Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the MonthlyWorth web application (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. Service Overview

MonthlyWorth provides tools for tracking personal net worth using monthly snapshots, custom asset and liability categories, currency preferences, data import/export, charts, and subscription management. The Service does not offer budgeting, automated bank connections, investment advice, or transaction-level tracking.

3. Account Registration and Security

You must provide accurate information, keep your account credentials secure, and promptly notify us of any unauthorized use. Authentication is powered by third-party identity provider Clerk; by using the Service you consent to Clerk processing your sign-in data in accordance with its policies.

4. Subscription and Billing

• Continued use of the Service requires an active paid subscription priced at $24 USD/year or €24 EUR/year, billed through our Merchant of Record, Creem.io. Taxes may apply.
• You may manage billing details, payment methods, and invoices via the customer portal accessible from the Service.
• Failure to maintain an active subscription may result in suspension of paid features.

5. User Data and Privacy

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter. We store snapshots, category definitions, and related preferences solely to provide the Service. You may export or delete your data through in-app controls. Our handling of personal data, including retention and deletion timelines, is described in the MonthlyWorth Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by:

• Uploading unlawful, infringing, or malicious content;
• Attempting to access the Service without authorization or interfering with its operation;
• Using automated tools to scrape or harvest content;
• Reverse engineering or attempting to extract source code except as allowed by law.

7. Intellectual Property

All MonthlyWorth software, visual designs, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them only as necessary to access the Service. These Terms do not grant ownership rights.

8. Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features (such as charts, reminders, integrations, or pricing) with reasonable notice when practical. Maintenance windows or outages may occur. If we materially change these Terms, we will notify you by in-app notice or email; your continued use after the effective date signifies acceptance.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not provide financial, legal, or tax advice, nor guarantee the accuracy of user-entered data, currency formatting, or analytical outputs. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid to MonthlyWorth in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or pose a security or legal risk. Upon termination we handle data deletion and retention as described in our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer, you also retain any mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence.
